Larry distributed the e-mail from Barbara Buescher regarding defaults on the ladder, bad air day policy, and to add that the SATA Summer League is excluded from Rule 3C, of the Adult Ladder Rules. Carlene distributed copies of the minutes of June 25, 2008, and Foster distributed the July 30, 2008 treasurer’s report. |

Secretary’s Report: Joni made the motion to approve the board minutes of June 25, 2008 and Foster seconded it. Motion carried |

Treasurer’s Report: Balance as of July 30, 2008 is $3,447.28. Marty made a motion to accept the report, Steve seconded it, and the motion carried. |

Vice President’s Report: Mike Pruss is in Hawaii on vacation. The board noted that the lights were not fixed, the nets were not replaced, and the courts were not washed. |

Women’s Coordinator Report: Marty reported that there are ten SATA Fall teams. Monday Eve. 4.0, Tuesday Eve. 3.5, rotating doubles, Wednesday Eve traditional doubles, 3.5 and 4.0 (two teams), Monday morning, 3.5 doubles (two teams), Saturday, two teams, both 3.5, singles and doubles, and, Thursday morning, over 50. She also reported that the Singles Ladder has 24 ladies. |

Men’s Coordinator Report: Steve reported that there are two Thursday night SATA Fall Teams, captained by Mike Pruss and Foster Pelton and a Saturday 50 plus team which he captains. |

Mixed Doubles Coordinator Report: Larry reported that there are two regular teams on Sunday afternoon (SATA Fall). And three Friday night 4-person teams, a 3.0, a 3.5, and a 4.0. The 3.5 team is captained by Foster and the 4.0 by Barbara B. FORC has 17 teams in the Fall SATA league. GO FORC, GO! |

Social Report: Joni stated that the July social was great and many thanks to Bonnie Kerfoot and Robert Marquis. The Tennis Love All Tennis Ball had a meeting and the club will begin to advertise the ball in October. Seating will be first come, first serve unless you have reserved an eight-person table in which case the table would need to be fully paid before hand. August 23rd social will be chair by Cecilia and Jack Hite with help from Joni. The September social will be chaired by Steve and Carmen Allen. |

The controversy over the ladder rules will be sent to a committee consisting of Joni, Marty, and Barbara B. Marty to write an article for the next Newsletter regarding this issue. |

Larry reported that FORC has 110 members. The club has an opening for an energetic can-do person to create the Newsletter. We will no longer mail Newsletters. To access the Newsletter, please visit www.forctennis.com and click on Club News. Larry adjourned the meeting at 8:25 pm. |
