Board Meeting Minutes
April 30, 2008

Larry called the meeting
to order at 7:10 p.m. |

Joni made a motion to
accept the 3-26-08 minutes. Foster
seconded the motion. Motion carried. |

Carlene made a motion to
accept the Treasurer’s Report and Mike seconded. Motion carried. Balance as of 4-30-08 is $4495.21 |

4. |
Joni said that the new net
on Court 5 was not installed correctly.
Mike said that he will meet with Rick and Todd of the District
regarding this issue. The Club wants
to buy two nets for the Park District but will wait until Mike has the
meeting with Rick and Todd. This issue
was tabled for next meeting. The Park
District started a Junior Program at the courts, and the Club is concerned
that it might impact our leagues. The
Club was also concerned that they were not given any input into the
decision. |

Marie Prodan is leaving,
and the Club needs a Mixed Doubles Coordinator. Please call Larry if you would like to
volunteer. |

SATA is offering several
Summer leagues: Men’s 50+ Saturday
mornings Women’s Doubles Monday and Tuesday
evenings Women’s 50+ Wednesday mornings Men’s Doubles Thursday evenings Mixed Doubles Sunday evenings |

Foster discussed some new
motions by SATA that will change the rules of the leagues. The time frame given to the clubs to
discuss these changes was very short, and Larry suggested that FORC Club
Representatives vote no on these motions and that SATA give the clubs more
time to discuss motions. The motions
can be introduced at one meeting and then voted at the next meeting. |

Larry posted the April
Newsletter to the website. He needs
more stories, etc. for the Newsletter.
If you would like to submit information or stories for the Newsletter,
please contact Larry. Larry would
also like a club member to volunteer for Newsletter Editor. |

Joni and Toni announced
the next social May 17 in the morning.
If you would like to come, please contact Toni. We need volunteers to host the following
Socials: September, October, and
November. The Tennis Ball will be
January 23, 2009 from 7 p.m. to midnight.
